Mackenyu Nitta talks about the charm of sports

This time we will be featuring Mackenyu Arata, who continues to challenge the world and even starred in the movie “Saint Seiya The Beginning.” In VOL.1, we asked Mr. Nitta, who has been familiar with sports since childhood, what he thinks are the appeals of sports.
Many of my childhood sports experiences have led to my current work.
Mr. Nitta, who has been exposed to many sports since he was young, including karate, what do you think is the appeal of sports?
I think the appeal of sports is that it keeps you healthy both physically and mentally, and it’s really fun. Playing sports with teammates helps you become more sociable and improves your communication skills. I’ve been doing physical activities since I was little, and a lot of that is connected to my current job.
Do you do any body building or training on a daily basis?
Going to the gym is part of your routine. I train as a whole to ensure a well-balanced workout.
Is there anything you are careful about with your diet to maintain your condition?
No! (laughs) If I’m working on a project that requires me to build up my body, I’ll be careful about my diet, but I usually don’t. I love eating and it’s something I look forward to every day, so I eat what I want without any restrictions and train accordingly.
You have probably experienced many sports, but is there any sport you would like to try in the future?
I guess this is a challenge… I really want to get to the top, and I don’t think I’ll be able to get to the top even if I try now, so rather than trying a new competition, I’d like to hone what I’ve experienced so far. As I have become familiar with various sports, I have realized that if you don’t start playing them from an early age, you won’t be able to become a top player.
The important things to consider when choosing casual clothes are ease of movement and ease of changing clothes.
Sportswear is essential
Do you incorporate sportswear into your everyday fashion?
He often wears sports brand clothing as his casual clothes, and is a familiar presence. Professionally, I almost never have the opportunity to work in my own clothes, so when it comes to casual clothes, I focus on ease of movement and ease of changing. As a result, I settled on sportswear that I could easily put on and take off, such as T-shirts and sweatshirts. The items I wore today were also light and felt good against my skin, which I liked.
For Mr. Nitta, who is familiar with sportswear in everyday life, how did you like today’s styling?
The jacket was light and easy to move around in. The material can withstand rain and wind, and it seems to be resistant to mud and dirt, so it’s a great item to wear to outdoor photo shoots.
Finally, in line with DESCENTE’s brand concept of “manufacturing that goes far beyond imagination,” please tell us about an incident that went far beyond imagination.
While doing this work, I come across works that go far beyond my imagination. As I read the script after receiving it, I witnessed a story development that was completely different from what I had imagined, and even on set, there were performances that exceeded my expectations. In a creative workplace, you will have more experiences than you expected, and it will be very stimulating.
